The Midwest populates the gallery for a second month in a row with previous works from Nebraska artist Robert Allan and our new exhibit "Habitats" with Milo Duke, Ray Pelley and Wendy Wees, each with Midwest ties.

"Habitats" explores selected views by three artists with midwest connections who are friends and their perspectives of living environments from Surreal and Real to Fantasy.

Milo Duke: A University of Nebraska graduate with strong ties to Hawaii and Seattle, Duke paints in a realist style with touches of surrealism. His watercolors have a quiet, thoughtful and precise quality that reflects his personality as he constantly searches for his Zen in life.

Ray Pelley: A photorealist painter from the Illinois State University and a regular participant in our gallery for 20 years, Pelley takes a step back and adjusts his style slightly by taking a break from Oil paint and exploring the "not as precise" medium of Acrylic paint. These new images of Urban and Natural habitats as "seen" by the artist find a nice balance, yet contrast to his good friends, Milo Duke and Wendy Wees' work.

Wendy Wees: Webster University brings us Wendy Wees and her illustrative works. While not having to interpret the words of others in these paintings as an illustrator would, Wees is free to explores her own direction of "Habitats". Her whimsy and fantasy familiar in her illustrations are easily distinguishable in these new works.
