Shinichi Nakazawa
Born in Tokyo, Shin'ichi Nakazawa graduated from Rikkyo University in 1979. In 1975, he began teaching himself to make etchings. He developed an unusual technique, combining etching and metal leaf. His role model, the 17th Century Rimpa artist Sotatsu, was renowned for creating decorative screens featuring poetic imagery.
